Sample interview questions
I establish clear pipeline stages, leading indicators, inspection cadences, and forecast criteria, then coach managers and AEs against those standards. I combine process discipline with deal-level support on strategic opportunities and regularly refine the model using conversion, cycle-time, and win-loss data.
I would begin by auditing stage definitions, historical conversion rates, deal aging, and manager forecast behavior. I would implement consistent deal inspection, require evidence-based next steps and close plans, and distinguish commit, best-case, and pipeline categories using objective exit criteria.
I coach around account strategy, multithreading, business-value articulation, mutual action plans, and executive alignment. I use deal reviews and call observation to identify the specific behavior that will move the opportunity forward, then reinforce the learning through repeatable playbooks.
I start with high-value workflows such as account research, prioritization, call preparation, coaching, and forecast inspection. I pilot tools with measurable success criteria, validate outputs against source data, and set clear standards for confidentiality, human review, and appropriate use.
I hire for demonstrated enterprise selling capability, learning agility, collaboration, and disciplined execution rather than relying only on prior logos or titles. Retention comes from clear expectations, equitable coaching, meaningful career paths, strong enablement, and a culture of accountability and recognition.
