Sample interview questions
How would you prioritize a list of prospective B2B accounts?

I would segment accounts by ideal customer profile fit, likely business impact, decision-maker accessibility, and engagement signals. I would focus first on high-fit accounts with clear use cases, then use a structured outreach cadence and review results weekly to refine prioritization.

Describe how you handle rejection during cold outreach.

I treat rejection as information rather than a personal outcome. I record common objections, look for patterns, improve my messaging, and maintain activity discipline so that one conversation does not affect the quality of the next.

What would you do before contacting a new prospect?

I would research the company, its events or business model, likely goals, and relevant stakeholders. I would then form a concise hypothesis about how Eventbrite could help and tailor an opening message around that prospect's likely priorities.

How do you ensure a lead is ready to pass to an Account Executive?

I would confirm the prospect's business need, decision-making context, potential fit, urgency, and willingness to continue the conversation. I would document these details clearly in the CRM so the Account Executive has useful context for the next step.

How would you use sales metrics to improve your performance?

I would monitor activity volume, connect rates, reply rates, meetings booked, conversion by segment, and pipeline quality. If a metric underperformed, I would test one change at a time—such as targeting, messaging, timing, or call approach—and compare the outcome.

The selection process

If you pass our screening, we’ll invite you to a couple of interviews, designed to assess your motivation, ambitions, and how you approach unfamiliar problems. Interviews are a two-way conversation: a chance for us to get to know you, and for you to learn more about the company. So make the most of it—ask questions, dig into the way we work, and hear directly from the people you’re going to meet.

We set the bar high and won’t extend an offer until we’re convinced we’ve found the right candidate. This is why a job may stay open for months or be reposted several times.

Studies suggest that women tend not to apply for a job if their CV isn’t a perfect fit. Here, talent takes precedence over experience. So if you like the role and think you could be awesome at it in time, go ahead and apply.
