Sample interview questions
I would explain how I validated the customer’s business problem, identified stakeholders and decision criteria, ran discovery and a tailored demonstration, addressed objections, and agreed clear next steps through signature. I would quantify the result and note what I learned from the deal.
I prioritize based on urgency, revenue potential, stage, and agreed territory objectives. I use CRM tasks and time blocks to protect rapid inbound response while maintaining a consistent outbound cadence and scheduled renewal checkpoints.
I keep opportunity stages tied to verified customer actions, document decision process and close dates, and update next steps immediately after each interaction. I separate best-case opportunities from committed deals and raise risks early with the account team.
I would align on the account plan, target personas, messaging, and ownership of each action. I would generate and qualify meetings, conduct follow-up, manage smaller transactional opportunities, and share timely intelligence that helps the AE advance larger opportunities.
I would first review usage, support history, goals, and stakeholder changes to understand the likely cause. I would lead a discovery-focused conversation, reconnect value to the customer’s operational outcomes, resolve adoption barriers, and create a practical mutual action plan before discussing renewal terms.
About this role.
MaintainX is a leading mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. More than 13,000 customers, including Duracell, McDonald’s, Shell, DHL and Volvo, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.
In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions, the organization unifying Autodesk’s operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk’s strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make. Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours.
