Sample interview questions
How do you structure an in-practice training session for a team that is new to intraoral scanning?

I begin by assessing the team’s current workflow, roles, equipment, and confidence levels. I set clear clinical and operational goals, demonstrate the workflow, coach team members through live practice, and reinforce key habits that support early case submission. I finish with an action plan, ownership by role, and follow-up checkpoints.

Describe how you would respond if a clinician is reluctant to adopt a new digital workflow during training.

I would first understand the specific concern, such as clinical quality, time, usability, or disruption to the practice. I would connect the workflow to that clinician’s goals, provide practical evidence through guided use, and break adoption into manageable steps. My focus would be on building confidence while respecting the clinician’s experience and pace.

What indicators would you monitor in the first 30 days after training?

I would monitor scan activity, early case submissions, workflow adherence, recurring technical or operational blockers, and feedback from clinicians and staff. I would use those signals to identify practices that need targeted coaching and to share common adoption patterns with internal teams.

How do you adapt training for a large multi-practice organization versus a smaller dental practice?

For a larger organization, I align with leadership on standard processes, stakeholder responsibilities, and a repeatable rollout plan while tailoring support for each site. For a smaller practice, I focus more directly on the daily roles of the doctor and staff, ensuring the workflow fits their specific schedule and capacity. In both cases, I prioritize clear ownership and measurable next steps.

How would you manage a schedule involving up to 85% travel while maintaining training quality?

I would plan travel around practice readiness, regional efficiency, and the impact of each visit. Before each session, I would confirm equipment, attendees, goals, and known risks so that on-site time is focused on clinical coaching rather than avoidable logistics. I would document outcomes promptly and coordinate follow-up remotely with internal partners and customers.
