Sample interview questions
Describe a complex Federal Civilian sales opportunity you took from initial discovery through close.

I would outline the agency mission, stakeholder map, procurement path, technical and business pain points, and the value case I developed. I would quantify the outcome, explain how I managed risks and consensus, and describe the actions that moved the opportunity through each stage.

How do you build an account plan for a strategic federal customer?

I begin with the agency's mission, modernization priorities, current architecture, contracts, and organizational structure. I identify executive sponsors, technical champions, users, procurement stakeholders, and partners, then create a mutual action plan with measurable use cases, timelines, and next steps.

How would you position a cloud data and AI platform to a senior public-sector executive?

I would lead with mission outcomes rather than product features, connecting the platform to faster analytics, secure data access, operational efficiency, and responsible AI adoption. I would validate priorities through discovery and support the recommendation with a clear business case, implementation path, and relevant proof points.

What practices help you maintain an accurate forecast for long enterprise sales cycles?

I use defined exit criteria for every stage, validate compelling events and procurement milestones, and document stakeholder commitments in Salesforce. I regularly inspect deal risks, next actions, competition, technical validation, and executive alignment rather than relying on seller optimism.

How do you balance quick wins with large, strategic opportunities?

I segment the territory by potential, probability, urgency, and required effort. I protect time for high-value strategic accounts while creating repeatable plays for smaller opportunities, ensuring short-term activity supports rather than distracts from long-term account growth.
