Sample interview questions
I would explain how I gathered requirements, mapped current and future-state processes, configured workflows and permissions, coordinated integrations and testing, trained stakeholders, and used post-launch feedback and reporting to resolve issues and improve adoption.
I establish data ownership, field definitions, validation rules, and regular reconciliation processes. I also monitor integration exceptions, limit access through role-based permissions, maintain audit documentation, and partner with payroll and benefits teams to resolve discrepancies promptly.
I would first clarify the business outcome and distinguish essential requirements from legacy preferences. Then I would present practical configuration options, process changes, or integration alternatives, documenting trade-offs around compliance, scalability, cost, and employee experience.
I identify affected stakeholder groups early, build a communication and training plan, use workshops to surface concerns, and provide role-specific guides and office hours. I track adoption through usage metrics and feedback, then adjust support and workflows after launch.
I assess each request by business impact, deadline, risk, dependencies, and effort, then make priorities visible through a shared delivery plan. I communicate trade-offs early, protect time for critical compliance and production issues, and escalate resource constraints before commitments are missed.
