Sample interview questions
I would first clarify the must-have skills, target backgrounds, and deal-breakers with the hiring manager. Then I would use targeted Boolean searches, relevant job boards, professional communities, referrals, and outreach messaging tailored to the candidate profile, while tracking channels and response rates to refine the approach.
I set expectations early about the process and timeline, send prompt updates after each stage, and make sure candidates know who to contact with questions. If a delay occurs, I communicate it transparently and provide a realistic next step rather than leaving the candidate without information.
I would document the feedback clearly, identify where opinions differ, and ask focused follow-up questions tied to the role requirements. If needed, I would facilitate a calibration discussion with the hiring manager so the team can make a consistent, evidence-based decision.
I would monitor time to fill, stage conversion rates, source quality, interview-to-offer ratio, candidate response time, offer acceptance rate, and candidate experience feedback. These metrics help identify bottlenecks and show which sourcing channels and process changes are effective.
I prioritize based on business urgency, hiring deadlines, candidate stage, and blockers that could delay a decision. I maintain an organized tracker, schedule regular check-ins with hiring managers, and communicate early if competing priorities require timeline adjustments.
