Sample interview questions
I would set clear market-level unit economics and operational KPIs, then use ride demand, utilization, vehicle availability, maintenance cost, and redeployment data to prioritize actions. I would test growth initiatives against their contribution margin and continuously reallocate inventory toward the locations and times that generate sustainable returns.
I establish a small set of measurable outcomes, clarify ownership, and create a regular operating cadence for reviewing progress and removing blockers. I pair accountability with coaching, using direct feedback and development plans so team members understand both the business priority and how they can grow.
I would begin by understanding the city's safety, access, sustainability, and public-space priorities, then communicate transparently with data on operations and compliance. I would seek practical solutions that meet regulatory expectations while protecting service reliability and the economics of the market.
I would monitor vehicle availability, rides per vehicle per day, battery status, maintenance turnaround time, loss rates, deployment accuracy, and customer-reported issues. Segmenting these metrics by neighborhood, time period, and vehicle cohort would identify where operational interventions will have the greatest impact.
I would align stakeholders around a shared business problem, quantify the expected impact, and define the decisions and owners needed to move forward. By maintaining a transparent cadence, surfacing trade-offs early, and focusing on measurable outcomes, I can build commitment across teams with different priorities.
