Sample interview questions
I would explain the account context, stakeholder map, business problem, sales strategy, commercial process, and measurable result. I would emphasize how I created executive alignment, handled objections, and coordinated internal specialists to close the opportunity.
I begin with the customer’s corporate strategy, market pressures, and likely experience-management priorities. I then map decision-makers, champions, influencers, and procurement stakeholders, identify use cases and value hypotheses, and set a multi-threaded engagement plan with clear milestones and risk actions.
I focus first on their business outcomes rather than product capabilities. I use discovery to quantify the current cost or missed opportunity, connect the solution to strategic priorities, present relevant proof points, and build a clear financial and operational case for change.
I diagnose whether the barrier is urgency, value, stakeholder alignment, commercial terms, or implementation risk. I re-engage the economic buyer and champion around a mutually agreed next step, bring in the right internal executive or technical resources, and reset a documented close plan.
I segment accounts by potential, urgency, whitespace, and probability, then allocate time against a territory plan. For existing customers, I maintain executive value reviews and identify expansion triggers; for prospects, I protect dedicated prospecting time and build multi-threaded pipeline coverage.
