Sample interview questions
How would you balance direct sales with partner-led sales across diverse LATAM markets?

I would segment markets and accounts by opportunity size, partner maturity, language needs, and coverage economics. I would establish clear rules of engagement, joint account plans, and measurable partner tiers so direct sellers and partners complement rather than compete with one another.

Describe how you would build a scalable partner ecosystem for Amplitude in Latin America.

I would begin by prioritizing partner profiles such as consultancies, agencies, resellers, and cloud or data-platform partners that have strong access to target digital-native customers. I would define enablement, certification, co-selling, pipeline, and performance requirements, then regularly review sourced, influenced, and closed revenue to concentrate investment in productive partners.

What approach would you use to forecast a multi-country direct and indirect sales business?

I would use a consistent inspection cadence with stage definitions, exit criteria, close plans, and partner validation for indirect opportunities. Forecasts would combine rep-level pipeline reviews, historical conversion data, deal-risk assessments, and country-level assumptions, with clear distinction between committed, best-case, and upside revenue.

How would you improve retention and expansion among Amplitude's largest LATAM customers?

I would partner with customer success and solutions consulting to create executive success plans tied to each customer's product, data, and digital-experience outcomes. Regular executive business reviews, adoption signals, renewal risk tracking, and expansion hypotheses would ensure we address value realization before commercial milestones.

Give an example of how you would develop high-performing sales leaders in a fast-growing region.

I would set explicit outcomes and leading indicators, conduct regular deal coaching and forecast reviews, and provide direct feedback grounded in observable behavior. I would also create development plans for each leader, delegate meaningful ownership, and reinforce a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and customer focus.
