Sample interview questions
I would begin by segmenting partners by strategic fit, capability, coverage, and existing pipeline. I would agree measurable joint objectives, establish enablement and demand-generation actions, and run a regular operating cadence to review progress, remove blockers, and adjust the plan.
I would clarify account ownership, partner value, deal stage, next actions, and communication expectations early. I would maintain accurate CRM records, facilitate focused deal reviews, and make sure the partner contributes meaningful access, expertise, or delivery capability rather than duplicating internal effort.
I would track sourced and influenced pipeline, bookings, win rate, deal-registration volume, conversion by stage, enablement completion, marketing engagement, and customer outcomes. The appropriate mix would vary by partner tier and maturity, with metrics reviewed in regular business reviews.
I would identify adoption barriers through partner feedback and usage data, then simplify communications around the practical benefits such as deal registration, training, and co-marketing support. Targeted onboarding, office hours, partner-specific enablement, and follow-up through account teams would help reinforce adoption.
I prioritize work based on revenue impact, deal urgency, strategic partner value, and customer commitments. I use a visible action plan and CRM discipline to track commitments, communicate trade-offs early, and reserve time for proactive partner development rather than only reacting to immediate requests.
