Sample interview questions
How have you improved retention and expansion within a defined book of business?

I segment accounts by renewal risk, product adoption, strategic value, and expansion potential. I use usage data and executive business reviews to identify friction early, build success plans with measurable milestones, and connect product outcomes to the customer's commercial priorities. This approach enables proactive renewal management while creating credible cross-sell opportunities.

Describe how you would support a customer deploying an AI agent using APIs and SDKs.

I would first clarify the customer's use case, architecture, success metrics, security requirements, and rollout timeline. I would coordinate with technical stakeholders to validate integrations, guide testing and monitoring, review adoption and performance signals, and establish an escalation path for blockers. After launch, I would use operational data and customer feedback to optimize usage and identify additional deployment opportunities.

How would you manage competing renewal, onboarding, and expansion priorities across Southern Europe?

I would prioritize according to revenue risk, customer impact, implementation urgency, and strategic expansion potential. I would maintain clear account plans and a consistent operating cadence, while involving Sales and technical teams early for high-risk or high-value accounts. Transparent prioritization and early communication help ensure that critical customer commitments are met without losing long-term growth opportunities.

How do you adapt your account-management approach for customers in Spain and Italy?

I adapt communication style, stakeholder engagement, meeting cadence, and decision-making expectations to each customer's local business culture. I build trust through clear follow-through, localized communication in Spanish or Italian where appropriate, and a strong understanding of the customer's market context. I also ensure that commercial and technical recommendations are framed around locally relevant business outcomes.

Tell us about a time you identified a customer issue before it became a renewal risk.

In a previous role, I noticed declining feature adoption and reduced engagement from a key stakeholder several months before renewal. I analyzed usage patterns, scheduled a discovery session to uncover workflow barriers, and partnered with internal technical teams on a targeted enablement plan. Adoption recovered, executive sponsorship was re-established, and the account renewed with an expanded scope.

You’ll spot expansion opportunities early, own renewals and upsells end to end, and work closely with Sales, Engineering, and CS leadership to turn technical wins into revenue.
