Sample interview questions
I begin with a stakeholder and consumption map to identify renewal risks, business priorities, technical dependencies, and expansion opportunities. I create a joint account plan with measurable outcomes, align internal product and support partners, and run regular executive reviews to address risk early while building a qualified upsell pipeline.
I use MEDDPICC to validate measurable value, identify the economic buyer, confirm decision criteria and process, understand paper process, surface pain, secure an internal champion, and assess competition. I maintain these elements in the opportunity plan and use gaps to determine next actions rather than relying on optimistic forecasts.
I would analyze product usage, business growth signals, customer-experience priorities, support trends, and gaps between the current implementation and the customer's desired journeys. I would then validate the opportunity through discovery with business and technical stakeholders, quantify the expected value, and build a phased proposal tied to their strategic objectives.
In one enterprise cycle, technical leaders focused on reliability and integration effort while business leaders required a clear commercial outcome. I facilitated a shared discovery process, translated technical capabilities into agreed business metrics, involved solution experts early, and presented a mutual action plan that addressed both groups' concerns and moved the deal forward.
I use defined stage-exit criteria, MEDDPICC evidence, close-plan milestones, customer-confirmed next steps, and regular inspection with account teams. I separate committed outcomes from upside, document risks and dependencies, and update forecast assumptions promptly when customer timelines, procurement, or technical validation changes.
