The role, at a glance.
Mozilla is hiring a Staff Product Manager to lead strategy, roadmap, and delivery for a major Firefox Enterprise workstream, beginning with a hosted offering alongside an on-premise solution. The role centers on taking enterprise security or infrastructure products from definition through launch and translating pilot-customer needs into prioritized decisions. It requires close collaboration with engineering, design, security, legal, sales, finance, support, and enterprise IT and compliance stakeholders. The product manager will manage dependencies and trade-offs across a growing enterprise portfolio that may include Thunderbird Enterprise and AI capabilities. Strong knowledge of SaaS operations, data residency, public-sector requirements, privacy, and enterprise compliance is highly relevant.

Sample interview questions
I would outline the customer problem, the evidence used to validate demand, the product strategy, and the milestones that moved the offering from discovery to a usable launch. I would also explain how I balanced security, operational, and commercial requirements, then quantify adoption, customer, or business outcomes.
I would evaluate requests against strategic fit, customer impact, security and compliance risk, repeatability across the market, engineering effort, and time sensitivity. I would separate pilot-specific configuration requests from scalable product capabilities, publish the prioritization rationale, and revisit it as evidence from pilots grows.
I start by mapping customer and regulatory requirements to specific data flows, operational controls, and product commitments. I partner early with security, legal, infrastructure, and engineering to identify feasible options, clearly document trade-offs, and avoid making commitments that cannot be reliably operated at scale.
I would establish a shared launch plan with decision owners, readiness criteria, dependencies, and escalation paths. Regular cross-functional reviews make risks visible early, while concise decision records ensure each team understands what is changing, why it matters, and what it owns before release.
I turn ambiguity into explicit assumptions, customer questions, and short validation cycles. I define a directional strategy and measurable outcomes, make reversible decisions quickly where possible, and use customer evidence and delivery learning to refine the roadmap without losing alignment.

About this team and role
Firefox Enterprise is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own a major part of our 2027 product roadmap as we grow from our first release into a multi-product enterprise offering. This is a high-impact role for someone who has taken enterprise security products from zero to one. You will set direction, align engineering, design and go-to-market partners, and deliver.
This role is ideal for someone who can work across teams with empathy, build trust with a wide range of partners, and move work forward in a practical, low-ego way. You will join a small product team, and work closely with engineering, security, legal, sales and customers, including our first enterprise pilots. You do not need to know browsers inside out, but you do need to bring structure to ambiguity, make clear product decisions, and follow through.
What You’ll Do
- Own the strategy, roadmap and delivery of a major Firefox Enterprise workstream in 2027, starting with our hosted offering alongside the existing on-premise solution
- Define requirements, success metrics and release plans, and work with engineering, design, security and infrastructure teams to ship them
- Work with pilot customers and prospects, including IT, security and compliance teams, to understand their deployment needs and turn them into prioritized product decisions
- Partner with sales, legal, finance and support on packaging, pricing inputs, go-to-market readiness and compliance
- Contribute to a single cross-workstream roadmap, keeping dependencies, timelines and trade-offs visible to leadership and stakeholders
- Take on new scope as the portfolio grows, including Thunderbird Enterprise and AI-related enterprise capabilities, and help mentor teammates and establish product practices
- Champion Mozilla’s values in every interaction.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of product management experience, including taking 0-to-1 enterprise security or infrastructure products (such as identity, endpoint or infrastructure security) from definition through launch
- Experience owning a hosted or SaaS security product, including data residency and operational requirements
- Experience dealing with public sector organizations, with a working understanding of sovereignty requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate nuanced topics to different audiences
- A strong track record of execution and follow-through; you are someone who helps teams turn ideas into action
- Comfort with ambiguity, and experience setting direction for new products or markets
- Experience working with engineering, design, security, legal and go-to-market teams to deliver cross-functional programs with strong outcomes
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers, such as IT and security teams, and turning their needs into prioritized product decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- You are motivated by privacy, open source, and building technology that serves the public interest and Mozilla’s mission
Nice to Have
- Experience working on enterprise browsers, or on adjacent products such as endpoint detection (EDR), identity (IdP, SSO) or device management (MDM)
- Compliance experience, such as working with legal on data processing agreements and an understanding of NIS2, DORA and GDPR, with the ability to account for Mozilla’s own compliance constraints while enabling the product to unlock compliance value for customers
- Exposure to AI features in enterprise products, including data loss prevention
- Experience supporting new market entry or new product releases
- Experience working with government entities or in government facing businesses
- French or German language proficiency
What You’ll Get
- Generous performance-based bonus plans to all eligible employees – we share in our success as one team
- Rich medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Generous retirement contributions with 100% immediate vesting (regardless of whether you contribute)
- Quarterly all-company wellness days where everyone takes a pause together
- Country specific holidays plus a day off for your birthday
- One-time home office stipend
- Annual professional development budget
- Quarterly well-being stipend
- Considerable paid parental leave
- Employee referral bonus program
- Other benefits (life/AD&D, disability, EAP, etc. – varies by country)
