Sample interview questions
How would you assess whether additional paid-social spend is generating incremental customer growth rather than cannibalizing other channels?

I would establish a measurement plan combining platform reporting with controlled lift tests, geo experiments or holdouts where feasible, and triangulate results against attribution and MMM outputs. I would compare incremental CAC and contribution outcomes by audience, platform, and creative cohort before recommending scaled investment.

Describe your approach to scaling a paid-social channel that has reached performance saturation.

I would diagnose the limiting factor across audience reach, creative fatigue, bidding, conversion quality, and measurement. I would then run a prioritized testing roadmap that expands audiences, refreshes creative angles, tests new optimization events and placements, and evaluates adjacent platforms using clear incrementality and efficiency thresholds.

How do you partner with creative teams to improve paid-social performance without weakening the brand?

I translate performance insights into actionable briefs covering audience, message, hook, format, and proof points. I set up a regular creative testing cadence, share learnings quickly, and evaluate assets on both direct-response metrics and brand alignment so that successful concepts can be scaled responsibly.

What metrics would you use to manage a large paid-social budget on a daily and weekly basis?

I would monitor spend pacing, delivery, CPM, CTR, conversion rate, CPA or CAC, revenue or contribution, frequency, and creative-level performance daily. Weekly, I would add cohort quality, incrementality signals, marginal efficiency, attribution trends, budget variance, and test-readout decisions.

Tell us about a time you identified an opportunity in a new channel or tactic and turned it into durable growth.

I would explain the market signal or performance gap I identified, the hypothesis and test design, and how I aligned analytics, creative, and channel partners. I would quantify the result using incremental impact and efficiency metrics, then describe the operating process used to scale the tactic sustainably.
