Sample interview questions
I would define a scoring framework using factors such as expected trading activity, product fit, client segment, engagement signals, and strategic value. I would validate the available data, rank prospects transparently, and review the prioritization regularly with the commercial team.
I would first confirm that the report logic, source data, and refresh timing are correct. Then I would segment the decline by client, product, period, and relevant program status, compare it with prior trends, and summarize likely drivers and recommended follow-up actions for stakeholders.
I would document recurring tasks, establish a deadline-based routine, and automate repeatable steps where possible. I would track ad hoc requests by urgency and impact, communicate early about trade-offs, and ensure that critical reporting controls are never skipped.
I would map the current process, identify handoffs, error-prone steps, and time-consuming work, then quantify the impact. I would propose a simplified workflow with clear owners, controls, documentation, and an automation option where appropriate, testing the change before wider adoption.
I would present the decision needed, the relevant evidence, assumptions, risks, and a concise recommended action. I would tailor detail to the audience, invite challenge on data quality or compliance implications, and document agreed next steps and ownership.
