Sample interview questions
How would you improve predictability and scalability across a growing Professional Services delivery segment?

I would begin by baselining utilization, project margins, delivery duration, milestone adherence, customer satisfaction, and escalation trends. I would then standardize engagement scoping, delivery plans, technical artifacts, risk reviews, and resource-allocation processes, using the resulting data to improve capacity planning and delivery governance.

Describe how you would handle an enterprise implementation that is at risk of missing its objectives.

I would quickly align with the customer and internal delivery team on the desired outcome, current blockers, owners, and decision deadlines. I would establish a transparent recovery plan with measurable milestones, engage the appropriate product or engineering stakeholders for critical technical issues, and maintain executive communication until the engagement is stabilized.

How do you lead and develop a team of Solutions Architects?

I set clear expectations across technical depth, customer impact, delivery quality, and collaboration, then reinforce them through regular coaching and structured performance conversations. I create growth plans that combine mentoring, increasingly complex engagements, skill development, and opportunities to lead reusable delivery improvements.

How would you partner with Sales and Customer Success without compromising delivery quality?

I would define shared qualification and handoff standards so scope, customer outcomes, technical assumptions, and risks are clear before an engagement begins. During delivery, I would share customer health and expansion signals while ensuring services recommendations remain outcome-focused and are supported by realistic capacity and implementation plans.

What metrics would you use to assess the health of a Professional Services organization?

I would monitor utilization, bookings-to-capacity coverage, time to onboarding, on-time milestone completion, project margin, customer satisfaction, adoption outcomes, escalation volume, and employee retention. I would review these measures by segment and engagement type to identify operational bottlenecks and prioritize improvements.
