Sample interview questions
I would begin with discovery around reconciliation, customer-data fragmentation, operational overhead, and expansion plans. I would connect those pain points to Terminal's unified payments and commerce capabilities, quantify the expected business value, and build a phased implementation plan with technical and commercial stakeholders.
I map the buying committee, identify each stakeholder's success criteria, and establish a mutual action plan with clear owners and milestones. I tailor executive discussions to business outcomes while providing technical teams with detailed architecture, integration, security, and implementation information.
I validate the customer's underlying business requirements before discussing concessions and use value, scope, term length, growth potential, and implementation commitments as negotiation levers. I involve internal finance, legal, and product partners early, document trade-offs, and ensure the final agreement supports sustainable mutual value.
I would track qualified pipeline coverage, stage conversion, sales-cycle duration, deal size, forecast accuracy, win rate, and source performance. For strategic opportunities, I would also monitor stakeholder engagement, technical-validation progress, competitive position, and expansion potential.
I would synthesize feedback into a clear problem statement, quantify its revenue and customer impact, and distinguish urgent deal blockers from broader market patterns. I would share the evidence with Product and Engineering, align on feasible next steps, and communicate transparent expectations back to customers without overcommitting.
