Sample interview questions
I would first clarify the client’s decision to be made, target audience, timeline, and desired evidence. I would then recommend the methodology that best fits those needs, explain the trade-offs clearly, and provide a practical project plan for setup, recruitment, fielding, and analysis.
I maintain a prioritized project tracker with milestones, owners, risks, and next steps. I communicate early when dependencies may affect timing, reserve focused time for high-impact work, and provide clients with proactive status updates rather than waiting for issues to arise.
I would acknowledge the client’s objective and ask questions to understand the underlying decision they need to make. I would then respectfully explain the risk in the current approach and offer specific alternatives, such as refining the participant criteria, tasks, or research questions.
Excellent training is outcome-based and tailored to the client’s experience level. I would combine a clear walkthrough with relevant examples, hands-on practice, reference materials, and follow-up support so the client can confidently run their project independently.
I would synthesize feedback into clear themes supported by examples, describe the customer impact and frequency, and distinguish urgent usability barriers from enhancement ideas. I would collaborate with internal teams to clarify context and keep customers informed when their feedback results in meaningful improvements.
