Sample interview questions
I use a structured supervision cadence that combines live observation, review of session data, targeted feedback, and documented action plans. I tailor coaching to each technician's competency level and follow up on implementation fidelity so feedback leads to measurable improvement.
I would begin with a thorough assessment of the client's strengths, communication, preferences, environmental variables, and behavior function. The plan would prioritize choice, collaboration, safety, and meaningful skill development, while continually monitoring assent and adjusting interventions based on client responses and data.
I review trend data regularly to assess progress toward socially meaningful goals, treatment integrity, and the effectiveness of interventions. When data show limited progress, I examine possible variables such as skill prerequisites, reinforcement quality, environmental barriers, or implementation consistency before revising the plan.
I make training practical, collaborative, and tied to the family's daily routines and priorities. I model strategies, use guided practice and teach-back methods, invite questions, and identify small achievable steps so caregivers can implement plans consistently and confidently.
I plan travel around clinical priorities, communicate availability early, and ensure families and technicians know how to access support. I keep documentation current and use secure virtual tools to maintain supervision, coordinate handoffs when needed, and prevent disruption to client care.
