Sample interview questions
I would establish a visible portfolio plan with scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, capacity assumptions, and risk status for each engagement. I would review priorities regularly with engineering and leadership, communicate trade-offs early, and document any agreed sequencing or timeline changes with clients.
I would first ensure I understand the finding, impact, affected scope, remediation guidance, and any uncertainty by aligning with the security engineer. In the client discussion, I would facilitate a clear explanation in business-relevant language, ensure technical questions are answered by the appropriate expert, and record decisions, owners, and follow-up actions.
I would clarify the requested change, assess its impact on effort, timing, deliverables, and testing coverage with the engineering team, and document the options. I would then obtain explicit client approval for the revised scope and timeline before work proceeds, while updating all affected stakeholders.
I would include overall status, completed milestones, current work, upcoming milestones, key findings or themes where appropriate, open client dependencies, risks, decisions needed, and confirmed next steps. The update should be concise, factual, and tailored to the audience while avoiding premature conclusions about technical findings.
I would run a blameless retrospective with the relevant client-facing and delivery teams to identify root causes, such as incomplete intake, unclear scope, delayed access, or resource contention. I would turn the lessons into measurable process changes, such as improved kickoff checklists, dependency tracking, escalation triggers, or standardized communication templates, and monitor whether those changes reduce recurrence.
