Sample interview questions
How have you built and managed a pipeline for a quota-carrying sales role?

I segment target accounts by fit, buying potential, and intent signals, then use a consistent outreach cadence across channels. I track conversion metrics in the CRM, regularly qualify opportunities against clear criteria, and prioritize actions that advance deals while maintaining a balanced pipeline.

Describe how you would position a programmatic advertising platform to a local agency prospect.

I would begin by understanding the agency's client mix, campaign objectives, measurement challenges, and current media workflow. I would then connect relevant platform capabilities to those needs, use evidence such as campaign strategies or performance examples, and propose a practical test or rollout plan with measurable success criteria.

Tell us about a time you expanded an existing client relationship.

I would explain how I reviewed account performance and stakeholder goals to identify an unmet need, then developed a targeted recommendation with the account team. By aligning the proposal to business outcomes and maintaining transparent communication, I secured incremental investment while strengthening the long-term relationship.

How do you communicate technical platform concepts to non-technical buyers?

I avoid feature-heavy explanations and first establish the buyer's business goal. I use plain language, relevant examples, and simple visuals to show how a capability affects outcomes such as reach, efficiency, measurement, or optimization, then confirm understanding and address concerns.

How would you handle a client who is hesitant to move budget to a new advertising solution?

I would acknowledge the risk, clarify the specific objections, and identify what proof would build confidence. I would recommend a controlled pilot with agreed objectives, reporting cadence, budget guardrails, and success metrics, so the client can evaluate results before making a larger commitment.
