About ElevenLabs

ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company transforming how we interact with technology.

We launched in January 2023 with the first human-like AI voice model. Today, we serve millions of users and thousands of businesses – from fast-growing startups to large enterprises like Deutsche Telekom and Meta. Our investors are some of the world’s most prominent, including Andreessen Horowitz, ICONIQ Growth and Sequoia. We’ve raised $781M in funding and our last valuation was $22B – multiples of 11, always.

We have expanded from voice into three main platforms:

  • ElevenAgents enables businesses to deliver seamless and intelligent customer experiences, with the integrations, testing, monitoring, and reliability necessary to deploy voice and chat agents at scale.

  • ElevenCreative empowers creators and marketers to generate and edit speech, music, image, and video across 70+ languages.

  • ElevenAPI gives developers access to our leading AI audio foundational models.

Everything we do is the result of the creativity and commitment of our team – builders doing the best work of their lives. We are researchers, engineers, and operators. IOI medalists and ex-founders. If you want to work hard and create lasting positive impact, we want to hear from you.

How we work

  • High-velocity: Rapid experimentation, lean autonomous teams, and minimal bureaucracy.

  • Impact not job titles: We don’t have job titles. Instead, it’s about the impact you have. No task is above or beneath you.

  • AI first: We use AI to move faster with higher-quality results. We do this across the whole company—from engineering to growth to operations.

  • Excellence everywhere: Everything we do should match the quality of our AI models.

  • Global team: We prioritize your talent, not your location.

What we offer

  • Innovative culture: You’ll be part of a generational opportunity to define the trajectory of AI, surrounded by a team pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

  • Growth paths: Joining ElevenLabs means joining a dynamic team with countless opportunities to drive impact – beyond your immediate role and responsibilities.

  • Learning & development: ElevenLabs proactively supports professional development through an annual discretionary stipend.

  • Social travel: We also provide an annual discretionary stipend to meet up with colleagues each year, however you choose.

  • Annual team offsite: Each year, we bring your entire team together in a new location – past offsites have included Croatia, Italy and Cancún

  • Co-working: If you’re not located near one of our main hubs, we offer a monthly co-working stipend.

About the role

As part of the trust team, you’ll collaborate across functions to design and implement systems that streamline trust workflows, enhance decision-making around risk, and support responsible growth. The team operates as strategic advisors to key cross-functional partners — including Product, Operations, Legal, Marketing, and Engineering — to drive accountability, insights, and operational integrity across the business.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • End-to-End Process Management — Build and maintain strategic automations and standardized processes that support trust and safety functions, promoting consistency and adoption across the org.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Partner with Engineering and Growth teams to drive initiatives that enhance trust infrastructure and operational effectiveness.

  • Leadership Partnership — Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, delivering strategic insights, risk reporting, and actionable recommendations.

  • Data-Driven Strategy — Oversee analytics across trust functions. Identify risk patterns and areas for improvement; build dashboards and insights that inform policy decisions and guide operational improvements.

  • Reporting & Analytics — Lead the design and management of dashboards, reports, and KPIs that measure trust and safety performance and impact.

Who you are

  • Passionate about responsible AI and motivated by building systems that protect users and maintain platform integrity

  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic — you understand the stakes of this moment in AI and are committed to getting it right

  • Analytical and first-principles oriented, comfortable navigating ambiguity and complex risk tradeoffs

  • Consistently deliver high-quality work quickly and take initiative from day one

  • Low ego, high ownership

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex risk data into clear recommendations

  • 4+ years in Security, Trust & Safety Operations, or Risk Operations at a high-growth technology company

  • Proven track record building end-to-end solutions, from data collection and analysis through to execution

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Policy, Legal, or Safety teams

  • Highly adaptable with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement

Sample interview questions
Describe a trust or safety workflow you designed from initial problem discovery through implementation.

I would explain the risk problem, map the existing process and failure points, define measurable outcomes, align requirements with policy and engineering partners, and implement an automated workflow with clear ownership and escalation paths. I would also describe the dashboards and review cadence used to measure adoption, quality, turnaround time, and risk reduction.

How would you turn complex trust-risk data into a recommendation for company leadership?

I would first define the decision required, then summarize the risk signal, scale, affected users, uncertainty, and business trade-offs in plain language. I would present a small number of actionable options with expected impact, implementation effort, and recommended next steps, supported by a concise dashboard or visual.

What metrics would you use to evaluate the effectiveness of a trust and safety operation?

I would use a balanced set of metrics including incident volume and severity, detection precision and recall where applicable, review turnaround time, appeal or reversal rates, policy-enforcement consistency, repeat-abuse rates, automation coverage, and user-impact indicators. Metrics should be segmented by product surface and risk type so that aggregate improvements do not hide emerging harms.

How do you handle a situation where Growth objectives conflict with a safety recommendation?

I would make the trade-off explicit using evidence about user harm, legal or reputational exposure, and long-term platform impact. Rather than framing the discussion as growth versus safety, I would propose proportionate controls, staged launches, monitoring thresholds, and escalation criteria that enable progress while managing unacceptable risk.

How would you prioritize multiple trust-process improvement opportunities in a high-velocity environment?

I would prioritize using a transparent framework that weighs risk severity, likelihood, user exposure, regulatory implications, operational cost, and time to mitigate. I would address urgent high-severity gaps immediately, then sequence scalable automation and measurement improvements that reduce recurring operational burden.
