Sample interview questions
I use a forward-looking capacity plan that combines study milestones, monitoring visit forecasts, complexity, travel requirements, and individual workload. I review the plan regularly with project leaders, rebalance assignments early, and use qualified contingent resources when internal capacity cannot safely meet delivery needs.
I establish clear SOP-aligned monitoring expectations, provide ongoing training, review quality and compliance metrics, and investigate trends promptly. When issues arise, I document root causes, implement corrective and preventive actions, and verify that actions are effective.
I would first clarify expectations using objective performance evidence and listen to the individual’s perspective. I would then agree on a documented improvement plan with targeted coaching, practical milestones, regular follow-ups, and appropriate escalation through HR processes if sustained improvement does not occur.
I would assess the facts quickly, identify immediate patient-safety, data-quality, and timeline risks, and align the project team on ownership and actions. I would communicate transparently with the sponsor, provide a time-bound remediation plan, and track progress until the issue is resolved and preventive measures are in place.
I start with process data and feedback from monitors, sites, project teams, and sponsors to identify the highest-impact pain points. I define a compliant future-state workflow, pilot changes where appropriate, train affected teams, measure adoption and outcomes, and refine the process based on evidence.
