Sample interview questions
I would begin with a diagnostic review to identify accuracy, timing, and reasoning-pattern gaps in each section. I would set measurable weekly goals, prioritize the highest-impact weaknesses, assign targeted drills, and revisit the plan regularly using practice-test data.
I break the concept into a simple repeatable process, model it with one example, and then guide the student through a similar question aloud. I reinforce improvement through specific feedback so the student can see that the skill is learnable rather than innate.
I would track section-level accuracy, question-type performance, timing per section, error patterns, practice-test trends, and completion of assigned work. These metrics make it possible to adjust the study plan based on evidence rather than intuition.
I would maintain a structured calendar, confirm sessions and preparation needs in advance, and protect dedicated time for reviewing student work. Clear availability boundaries and timely communication help ensure reliable support while sustaining quality instruction.
I would share concise, objective updates on attendance, goals, completed work, and measurable progress while keeping the student involved in the conversation. I would focus communications on constructive next steps and encourage the student to take responsibility for their study habits.
