Sample interview questions
I would start by defining the ideal customer profile with the sales team, including industry, company size, cloud environment, growth signals, and relevant business initiatives. I would then segment accounts by fit and likely urgency, identify appropriate stakeholders, and personalize outreach around a relevant business challenge.
I would treat rejection as information rather than a personal outcome. I would track objections, review my messaging and targeting, ask for coaching where needed, and maintain a consistent activity cadence while testing improvements.
A valuable meeting has the right stakeholder, a defined business context, and a credible reason to discuss the company's services. Before scheduling, I would confirm the prospect's priorities, current challenges, and willingness to explore a relevant next step.
I would keep it concise, personalize it using a relevant company trigger or initiative, state a specific potential value proposition, and end with a low-friction call to action. I would avoid generic product language and focus on why the conversation may matter to that person.
I use a CRM and task system to document every interaction, schedule follow-ups, and prioritize activities by account value and engagement. I also review my pipeline daily to ensure that no qualified prospect or agreed next step is missed.
