About the role:
This role will involve working with Adaptavist’s ScriptRunner product teams to plan, manage, research, and produce public-facing educational content for the app’s users. Content will include video demos and product walkthroughs, as well as longer-form video training courses. You may also produce interactive content using Articulate Storyline where you and the product team determine it has high potential value. You will work with both the ScriptRunner and Customer Education teams to evaluate outcomes and iterate and update accordingly.
You will maintain a close relationship with the ScriptRunner Product Managers and Product Marketing Managers and, as an experienced instructional designer, you will provide them with advice and consultation on opportunities and requests for educational content for the ScriptRunner apps. You will also work with our existing ScriptRunner instructional designer on major projects to reassess the education approach to these products.
You will join the Customer Education team who will provide internal systems and audio/visual expertise and resources to enhance visual content, particularly video and animation. You will work within the ScriptRunner brand and tone and voice guidelines.
As a primary educational contact for the ScriptRunner product suite, you will be responsible for ensuring that the product’s users meet their educational needs.
What you’ll be doing:
Research and Learner-focus
– Designing and conducting analysis and research into software products and their users
– Developing and working to distinct learner outcomes
Content Production
– Writing, producing, and editing educational video content
– Utilising our video team’s resources efficiently
– Using Articulate Storyline to produce interactive training and quizzing as needed
Workflow Management
– Iterative, agile content design, production, evaluation, and updating
– Collaborating with SMEs, technical writers, and in-team designers
– Managing relationships with product teams
– Participating in regular internal QA and reviewing peers’ work
– Contributing to and aiding in documenting an agile team’s continuous process improvement
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience in producing educational content
Experience as an educator whether through instructional design, training, or teaching
Very good existing knowledge of Atlassian Jira as an end user
Ability to turn complex subject matter into inspiring written explanation and demonstration
Previous experience delivering sometimes-technical information in an engaging manner
Experience turning written content into high quality video assets
Ability to work to a branded tone and voice and adopt style to circumstances
Performative experience or ability for voiceover work as required
Experience or demonstrated ability to conduct needs analyses or similar research
Confident working in an agile environment
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to work on a remote team using Slack and other communication tools
Advanced knowledge of Atlassian tools including Jira is desirable
Experience using Camtasia, Premiere, After Effects is an added advantage
Experience in writing educational content on software or tech is
Some prior scripting experience is a plus
Experience in demonstrating the value of training content as part of the marketing funnel is desirable
Experience using Atlassian Confluence is an added advantage
Experience within a fast-paced, fast-growth Tech start-up environment is a plus
