Software Engineer | Data Engineer

I am a data and software engineer with over two years of professional experience building practical, production-ready systems across fintech, B2B logistics, and the non-profit sector. My work has focused on delivering end-to-end solutions, from data infrastructure and ETL pipelines to full-stack applications and developer-facing platforms.

I have strong experience in event-driven data engineering, including AWS-based pipelines, dbt transformations, Apache Airflow orchestration, and reconciliation logic in Redshift. I enjoy solving complex data problems, improving reliability, and turning recurring operational issues into scalable engineering fixes.

On the software side, I have built APIs, mobile applications, and web platforms using technologies such as Node.js, Vue.js, React.js, Next.js, React Native, Kotlin, FastAPI, and Django REST Framework. I have contributed to products that improved integration speed, user engagement, platform uptime, and overall system performance.

I also have experience in technical support and production incident management, where I handled root-cause analysis, monitoring, verification, and cross-functional coordination. I am comfortable working across application, infrastructure, and service-integration layers to identify issues and deliver permanent fixes.

My project work includes an AI-powered recruitment intelligence system and a multi-vendor e-commerce platform, both of which reflect my interest in building useful products that combine software engineering, data processing, and user-centered design. I hold a Diploma in Information Technology from AkiraChix – codeHive, with coursework spanning backend development, software architecture, frontend development, product management, QA, UI/UX design, and UX research. I am based in Kenya and speak English.
