Senior Accountant

I am a Senior Accountant with more than 20 years of multinational experience across the U.S., Mexico, and LATAM. I specialize in US GAAP reporting, month-end and year-end close, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and audit support.

I currently lead close processes for U.S. operations at C. Czarnikow Sugar Inc. in Miami, where I coordinate cross-functional accounting activities, prepare monthly reporting packages for U.K. headquarters, and support finance, FP&A, tax, and audit requirements.

I have strong experience in shared services environments and in managing accounting across multiple countries, including the USA, Mexico, and Colombia. My work has included improving inventory accounting accuracy, standardizing reporting procedures, and enhancing visibility into commercial performance through margin analysis.

Previously, I spent many years at C. Czarnikow Sugar Mexico, where I handled full-cycle accounting, GL reconciliations, VAT recovery, transfer-pricing support, and financial reporting. I also supported audits and tax compliance, helping improve timeliness and control over financial statement delivery.

Earlier in my career, I worked in audit and accounting support roles, where I prepared working papers, supported financial statement audits, and managed journal entries, bank reconciliations, VAT filings, and collections. These roles helped me build a strong foundation in accounting operations and compliance.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Instituto Politécnico Nacional and speak Spanish natively with professional working proficiency in English. I continue to develop my skills through professional training in tax reform, AML, and artificial intelligence applications.
