Software Engineer

I am a software engineer with 6 years of experience in backend development and foundational experience in frontend technologies. My core specialization is Java and related technologies, and I have contributed to the design of robust APIs, system integrations, and legacy code refactoring across industries such as health insurance, online travel, innovation, and CRM.

I have hands-on experience with system design, agile development, automated testing, and code review. I work comfortably with modern backend frameworks like Spring Boot and I am also familiar with frontend tools such as React. In my day-to-day work, I use development tools including Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Currently, I am contributing to an international health insurance project, where I apply my technical expertise and communication skills to deliver high-impact solutions. I am proactive in story refinement and enjoy solving complex problems in collaborative environments.

In my recent roles, I have worked as a third-party fullstack/backend developer, focusing on feature design and implementation, bug fixing, and Scrum participation. I have also refactored frontend and backend systems, improved API performance, and supported documentation efforts.

Earlier in my career, I worked on CRM and microservice-based solutions, including building internal applications from scratch, integrating external APIs, and designing data-processing workflows. These experiences strengthened my ability to work across the full stack and contribute to scalable solutions.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in System Analysis and Software Development and have completed additional training in Java and Scrum fundamentals. I speak English professionally and Portuguese natively, and I am based in Porto, Portugal.
