Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

I am a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with 8+ years of experience designing, securing, scaling, and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure. My background is centered on multi-account architecture, IAM access controls, infrastructure as code, and compliance automation.

I have spent my career building secure and auditable cloud environments, with a strong focus on AWS services such as EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Control Tower, Organizations, CloudFront, API Gateway, VPC, Route53, SSM, Secrets Manager, and KMS. I also work extensively with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and CI/CD automation tools.

In my current role at Assent.com, I lead engineering efforts for an AWS Organization and Control Tower environment spanning 80+ accounts and 250+ users. I manage IAM Identity Center, implement least-privilege access, and automate user lifecycle processes while improving consistency and scalability across environments.

I have also helped reduce AWS infrastructure costs by more than $100K annually through rightsizing, reserved instance planning, and storage optimization. In addition, I collaborate closely with Dev, DevOps, NetOps, AppSec, and Architecture teams to strengthen security, observability, and compliance across SaaS infrastructure.

Earlier in my career, I supported full SDLC pipelines, led quarterly OS patching automation, served as an AWS infrastructure SME, and contributed to infrastructure migrations and cost optimization initiatives. I also worked as a Director and Cyber Security Specialist, where I managed networks, firewalls, DNS, VLANs, cloud deployments, and security consulting for small and medium-sized businesses.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from SUNY Canton and an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification. I am open to remote opportunities only outside the Central NY area and continue to focus on secure, scalable, and efficient cloud infrastructure.
