About Mach Industries

Founded in 2022, Mach Industries is a rapidly growing defense technology company focused on developing next-generation autonomous defense platforms. At the core of our mission is the commitment to delivering scalable, decentralized defense systems that enhance the strategic capabilities of the United States and its allies. With a workforce of approximately 120 employees, we operate with startup agility and ambition.

Our vision is to redefine the future of warfare through cutting-edge manufacturing, innovation at speed, and unwavering focus on national security. We are dedicated to solving the next generation of warfare with lethal systems that deter kinetic conflict and protect global security.

The Role

We are seeking a seasoned business development leader to serve as our primary ambassador and growth catalyst across the Nordic region. In this role, you will own the end-to-end regional strategy—from market analysis and relationship-building with senior military and government stakeholders to negotiating and securing high-value defense and aerospace contracts. You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and program management teams to tailor and deliver compliant, cutting-edge solutions that address the unique security and technology needs of Nordic partners. As the face of the company in the Nordics, you’ll represent us at key industry events, drive pipeline development and forecasting, and ensure adherence to all export and defense-trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts across the Nordics, driving the identification, acquisition, and management of strategic partnerships and key clients.

  • Develop and execute a regional growth strategy focused on expanding market share, driving revenue, and achieving business objectives in alignment with the company’s global vision.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, defense contractors, and other stakeholders in the aerospace, defense, and high-tech sectors.

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for new projects and collaborations, leveraging a deep understanding of the region’s market dynamics, regulations, and cultural nuances.

  • Lead negotiations for high-value contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and successful outcomes for the company.

  • Provide market intelligence by monitoring competitive trends, customer needs, and regulatory changes within the Nordics and across the European defense ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and operations, to ensure successful delivery of products and services tailored to regional client requirements.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote brand awareness and showcase capabilities.

  • Ensure compliance with regional legal and regulatory frameworks, particularly regarding defense and technology-related exports.

  • Drive regional sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and KPIs.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a proven track record in the aerospace, defense, or high-tech industries.

  • Strong knowledge of the Nordic market, including key players, government agencies, and procurement processes in the region.

  • Proven ability to close high-value deals and build long-term partnerships in highly regulated industries.

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with experience in developing and executing regional business plans.

  • Established network within the defense, aerospace, or high-tech ecosystems in the Nordics.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Nordics and, on occasion to the US and elsewhere in Europe, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active security clearance from a Nordic state, or willingness to obtain.

  • Experience working with government contracts, defense procurement, and export compliance regulations (e.g., ITAR, EU defense standards).

  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional Nordic languages is an advantage.

  • Strong understanding of advanced technology trends, including autonomy, AI/ML, or unmanned systems, and their applications in defense or commercial markets.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-cultural and international environment, fostering collaboration across diverse teams and geographies.

This role requires a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader with a deep understanding of the diverse Nordic market, capable of driving strategic growth and building the company’s presence in this critical region.
