MANTECH seeks a motivated and career-oriented Senior Scrum Master to join our team. This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate all Scrum events, including sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, ensuring they are productive, and time boxed

  • Coach, guide and empower one or more cross-functional teams on agile principles and Scrum practices, fostering a self-organizing and high-performing team environment

  • Helps remove impediments and fosters an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement

  • Work closely with the Product Owner to manage the product backlog, ensuring it is refined, prioritized, and transparent to the development team

  • Leverage expertise in Agile methodologies to enhance team performance, predictability, and effective communication and collaboration within the development team and with external stakeholders

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation and the adoption of best practices, including facilitating Scrum events, removing impediments, and driving the successful delivery of high-quality software

  • Support the adoption of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles and practices within the team and across the program

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; equivalent education and years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • 4+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role for a software development team

  • Demonstrated experience with Agile practices and frameworks, with a strong preference for the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification

  • Expertise in Agile techniques and artifacts such as: Agile Project Management, PI Planning, Epics/Features/Stories, Burndown/Burnup charts, Retrospectives, etc.

  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira or Confluence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications such as Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master.

  • Experience with modern software development practices such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and automated testing.

  • Familiarity with common software development technology stacks (e.g., Java, .NET, JavaScript frameworks) to facilitate technical discussions and understand team challenges.

  • Experience with IT Security, Application Security, and System Architecture environments.

  • Knowledge of federal Government directives, policies, publications, and regulations.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current and active DOD Secret clearance.

  • Ability to obtain an agency suitability access

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $152,300.00-$240,700.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
