Job Summary
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance iOS applications that deliver AP’s trusted news content to millions of users worldwide. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless, engaging, and innovative mobile experiences.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift and modern Apple frameworks.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement new features.
Optimize app performance, ensuring fast load times, smooth UI, and efficient data handling.
Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and maintainability (unit tests, UI tests, CI/CD).
Stay up to date with iOS development trends, Swift advancements, and Apple’s ecosystem (SwiftUI, Combine, etc.).
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other technical issues.
Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews to maintain high development standards.Ensure apps comply with accessibility, security, and privacy standards.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
5+ years of professional iOS development experience with a strong portfolio of published apps.
Expertise in Swift (UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine)
Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and reactive programming.
Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and offline data storage (Core Data, Realm).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Located in Latin America.
Proficient in English.
