As the leader in data security and cloud management, Rubrik empowers enterprises to simplify and secure their digital infrastructure.

As Director, CXO Customer Advocacy, you will shape and scale a global executive advocacy function that transforms CIOs, CISOs, CTOs and their peers into high-impact champions. These programs will fuel pipeline, reinforce brand credibility, and deepen relationships with enterprise accounts. You will lead flagship programs including Customer Advisory Boards, Executive Reference coverage, and a new Executive Sponsorship program that strategically connects top customers with Rubrik leadership. This is a builder role for someone who operates with polish, precision, and a bias for action.

What You’ll Do:

  • Executive Sponsorship Program: Design, launch, and manage Rubrik’s Executive Sponsorship Program to strategically connect C-level customer executives with Rubrik leadership, ensuring deeper alignment, relationship health, and account growth.
  • Customer Advisory Boards: Own and operate Rubrik’s CABs end-to-end, from strategic planning and recruitment to content design and post-even engagement, ensuring agendas influence product strategy and drive C-level relationships.
  • CXO Reference Advocacy: Build and maintain a robust executive reference system by vertical and region, partnering with sales to match the right advocate to key pursuits and influence buying cycles.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Field teams to align executive voices with launches, campaigns and strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain executive reference coverage for key accounts, industries, and geographies, ensuring sales teams have access to timely, trusted voices.
  • Establish consistent feedback loops that capture CXO input and turn insight into action, especially through CABs, 1:1 briefings, and structured listening.
  • Track and report on program performance, including advocacy engagement, reference activity, and influence on pipeline and retention.

Experience You’ll Need:

  • 12+ years of experience in executive engagement, technical advocacy, or community leadership within cybersecurity, cloud, or enterprise software sectors.
  • Proven ability to build and scale executive-level programs (e.g. CABs, Executive Sponsorship Programs) that influence pipeline and retention.
  • Demonstrated success engaging C-level stakeholders and driving peer-based advocacy initiatives.
  • Experience working with GTM teams to match customer advocates to key campaigns, moments, and growth initiatives.
  • Executive presence, discretion, and professionalism in high-stakes customer interactions.
  • Experience navigating matrixed organizations and driving influence without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in technical customer success, presales engineering, developer advocacy, or technical community management.
  • Experience with modern data protection, cloud-native infrastructure, security, identity, or cyber recovery solutions.
  • Familiarity with hybrid event programs and digital community platforms.
