Role Description
We are seeking an Electrical Estimator with proven experience in cost estimating for
electrical systems within large-scale construction projects, ideally including data center
infrastructure. This role will be focused on producing accurate cost estimates for electrical
works, reviewing vendor pricing, preparing detailed take-offs, and developing cost reports
that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical systems in data centers and other largescale infrastructure projects. 
  • Review and validate vendor and contractor pricing for electrical works, ensuring alignment with project scope.
  • Prepare estimate evaluation reports based on ROM, schematic, and construction pricing
  • Review scope against predefined demarcation matrices, identifying deviations and cost implications.
  • Integrate Value Engineering options for electrical systems to optimize costs.
  • Track and report design changes for electrical components, assessing cost and schedule impacts.
  • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and commodity teams to ensure up-to-date market intelligence on electrical materials and labor costs.
  • Provide high-level ROM electrical estimates for program and CAPEX planning.
  • Assist in developing cost modeling tools for electrical estimation and benchmarking.
  • Ensure all assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications related to electrical costs are documented.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and client teams to ensure accurate, timely cost data for electrical works. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 4–7 years of experience in electrical cost estimating for construction projects, preferably data centers or other complex facilities.
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, Timberline, OST, and CostX (CostX proficiency preferred).
  • Owner’s rep or construction consultancy background is highly desired. 
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, codes, and installation practices.
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel (advanced).
  • Familiarity with sustainability considerations and their cost impacts on electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
