Job Description
The Architect-Manager serves as the expert in IT systems architecture, undertaking complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge The Architect-Manager makes decisions on complex or ambiguous IT architecture issues, coordinating with users to determine requirements, and ensuring system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored, finding ways to increase efficiency. The Architect-Manager manages architects and leads the delivery of complex IT and Infrastructure Architecture projects, sets goals for team members, provides timely direction and oversight, evaluates performance, and makes recommendations on development of architecture skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesΒ
Drive requirements analysis activities and develop the design of highly complex architectural solutions involving multiple logical and/or physical dimensions. Oversee the production and present documentation for these components.Β
Maintain awareness of current complex architectures and business drivers and guide their application to initiatives as appropriate.Β
Consult on the application of reference architecture, strategic direction of enterprise technology, and serve as subject matter expert with contextual knowledge of the business model.Β
Utilize or develop reusable patterns, practices, and enterprise reference architectures that fit within the overall Allstate architectural blueprint.Β
Advocate effective architectural designs and optimize current architecture and processesΒ
Influence clients and partners to prioritize for enterprise benefit and risk reduction and assist in driving the adoption of technology solutions that leverage existing patterns, practices, and reference architectures.Β
Identify opportunities to enhance existing architecture.Β
Assist withβ―drafting the business caseβ―including identification ofβ―potential business/customer benefits.Β
Apply reference architectures and positions toward the design, deployment and support of highly complex systems that deliver business functionality.Β
Involve Director and Associate Vice President level leadership from business and technology disciplines to present and deliver highly complex solutions as needed.Β
Essential SkillsΒ Β
A minimum of 4 yearsβ experience in Privileged Access ManagementΒ
A minimum of 2 yearsβ experience in Infrastructure as CodeΒ
A minimum of 2 yearsβ experience in Azure CloudΒ
A good understanding of Privileged Identity Management, JIT (Just-in-Time access) and JEA (Just Enough Administration)Β
A minimum of 2 yearsβ experience coaching and mentoring global teams
Desirable criteriaΒ Β
Experience in AWS and GCPΒ
Understanding of authentication (OAuth, SAML, Kerberos), authorization, and account lifecycle.Β
Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloudβespecially their identity and secrets management tools (e.g., Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).Β
Strong experience with Windows Server, Linux, and Active Directory environments.Β
Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar for automating tasks.Β

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $125,200.00 – 207,550.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
