Position: Field Training Audiologist

Reports to Title: Director of Training and Education or Training Team Manager

Department/Division: Training/Commercial Sales Team

Primary Work Location: North America

Position Overview

The Field Training Audiologist will contribute to sales and profitability by providing product and software training designed to increase customer knowledge, skills and familiarity with the ReSound product lines. The position also functions to provide audiological support, which includes hearing aid fitting and troubleshooting assistance, to influence buying behavior change from our customers. This position also includes providing audiology, technical and product training to ReSound employees. This position requires extensive field travel over large geographies with overnights on a weekly basis.

The Role Expectations are:

  • Regularly communicate pertinent account information to territory sales team members
  • Execute high quality and consistent customer trainings using Adult Learning Principles to illicit product buying behavior change
  • Support sales of ReSound products within the US by working closely and cohesively with assigned sales teams
  • Create customer training needs assessments and training plans to provide appropriate training solutions for accounts with measurable outcomes
  • Assist sales teams and overall sales support at national level conventions
  • Primary events include, but are not limited to, the following: Consumer Education Seminars, Open Houses, and CEU Seminars and ongoing “in clinic” product training sessions
  • Play key role in promotion and demonstration of products during launch trainings
  • Provide consultative resources which will help develop the business growth of the customer to meet ReSound’s business needs
  • Schedule travel independently and within corporate guidelines that maximize the effectiveness and cost efficiencies while maintaining a full zoned week schedule.
  • Maintain appropriate administrative records. This includes maintaining expenses within published corporate guidelines, keeping your work calendar and zonal planning up to date, and attending all team and management calls
  • Interact with Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, Technical Support and Research & Development to ensure quality customer experiences
  • Continuously develop training content through provided materials as well as creation of new materials
  • Other duties as assigned by management

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint), as well as Workday and Salesforce.com
  • Independently prioritize and forecast a balanced diverse work schedule through organization and time management skills
  • Proficient with oral and written communication across and upward
  • Confident in public speaking and workshop facilitations

Desired Qualifications

Required Education (if necessary):

  • AuD or PhD in Audiology. Master’s Degree in Audiology considered
  • Current state license in Audiology

Experience:

  • Clinical experience fitting patients with amplification in a variety of audiological environments

Travel:

  • Extensive travel by air, auto and train
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
  • Ability to manage travel expenses through personal and corporate reimbursement

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 15Ibs at a time, sitting, walking, standing, long and frequent air and land travel

Pay Transparency Notice:

Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $98,000 to $108,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience. To remain competitive, GN offers a competitive benefits package, including annual bonuses, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and paid holidays.
