Step into a role as Steve & Kate’s Senior Camp Team Leader where in this role, you will lead and manage the Field Leadership Team for S&K Camps field operations. This role ensures operational excellence, leadership development, and alignment with the company’s strategic goals. The position is responsible for hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of field staff, while also supporting program quality, customer experience, and organizational growth.
Camps
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Field Leadership Team for S&K Camps field operations and manage the Field Leadership Team for S&K Camps including direct oversight of Team Leads (8+) and indirect oversight of Camp Directors (80+) nationwide.
Field Trip Camps
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Field Trip Leadership Team for S&K Camps, including direct oversight of Team Leads (3+) and indirect oversight of Field Camp Directors (30+ and growing) nationwide. This role is also responsible for strategy and continuing to build out the Steve and Kate’s Camp Field Trip program. This role ensures operational excellence, leadership development, and alignment with the company’s strategic goals. The position is responsible for hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of field trip staff, while also supporting program quality, customer experience, and organizational growth in a growing line of business.

Responsibilities:
Depending on the line of business, the position may perform some or all of the below functions:
Provide leadership to Team Leads and indirectly oversee Camp Directors and camps across all regions.
Hold Team Leads accountable for regional performance, budgets, and operational goals.
Facilitate monthly virtual meetings, annual conferences, and professional development sessions.
Support the design of hiring, onboarding, goal setting, and performance management processes and strategies.
Management of Camp Directors includes designing and implementing onboarding for full time employees, defining responsibilities and goals, coaching, and partnering with HR for performance management processes
Partners with National Director to make sure the development and management of Field and Leadership team supports company’s planned growth and strategic roadmap
Conduct regular site visits when camps are in session and support in quality assurance assessments.
Evaluate program quality and lead continuous improvement efforts.
Implement performance management strategies, including coaching and corrective actions.
Evaluate program quality and lead continuous improvement efforts.
Partner with People Operations to design and implement hiring and assessment process for all hires
Provide escalation support for health, safety, and licensing issues and ensure emergency response plans are implemented, and licensing standards are met.
Escalation support for customer service, staff and health and safety issues that occur. Support Family experience team in timely response to concerns.
Ensure programs are executed with fidelity, safety, and state regulations in mind. Supports the evaluation of these measures regularly.
Senior Team Lead, Camps
Directly manages the Field Leadership Team for S&K Camps including direct oversight of Team Leads (8+) and indirect oversight of Camp Directors (80+) nationwide.
Senior Team Lead, Field Trip Camps
Directly manages support team (3 in ‘26) and seasonal leadership for field trips
Planning and execution of all Field Trip activities including transportation, venues, food, pick up and drop off points. Regularly evaluates the program for safety and success.
Partners with National Director to make sure the development and management of Field and Leadership team supports company’s planned growth and strategic roadmap
Partners with Site Partnerships team to determine where product is best placed and executes finding a host location (park or school as required)
Manage the forecasting, execution and recording of field trip budgets related to programming, equipment, and field team travel for support and quality assurance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Early Childhood Education, Education or related degree – Required
5 years Administrative or Supervisory Experience in a Camp, Education or Childcare setting – Required
Past multi-site management or leadership experience is required; experience hiring and managing teams.
Must demonstrate an understanding of required quality camp standards; knowledge and ability to lead staff in implementation of developmentally appropriate program; experience and skill in communication, leadership, organization and supervision; sensitivity and responsiveness to needs of families, staff, and client/hosts; and ability to perform job responsibilities in all levels of direct care.
Demonstrated sensitivity and responsiveness to needs of parents/guardian, staff, and client/host.
Must demonstrate working knowledge and management of business operations and financial performance proficiency, combined with technology platforms for business operations, such as HRIS, timekeeping, enrollment tracking and billing.
Strong leadership, supervisory and organizational skills, demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.
Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across differences.
During camp programs, Senior Team lead may be expected to travel to visit sites.
Candidates who meet the ACA standard of being at least 25 years old are preferred.

Salary/Hourly Rate and Other Compensation Disclosures:
The annual starting salary for this position is between $100,000- $125,000. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
