At Branch, we’re transforming how brands and users interact across digital platforms. Our mobile marketing and deep linking solutions are trusted to deliver seamless experiences that increase ROI, decrease wasted spend, and eliminate siloed attribution. Our Branch team consists of smart, humble, and collaborative people who value ownership over all. Everything we do is centered around creating a great product, team, and company that lives and breathes our motto: Build Together, Grow Together, Win Together.

About the group:

The Performance Engineering team delivers customer-facing capabilities that directly improve marketer outcomes across three areas: Fraud (detection rules, model integration, clear explanations, and case-review workflows), Insights (in-product analytics, actionable recommendations, and experimentation surfaces across the MMP), and Partner Integrations (SAN/partner APIs, parity updates, webhooks/postbacks, and durable data contracts).

In this role, you’ll lead multiple full-stack feature teams, scale the organization quickly, and partner with Product to shape and deliver a focused, outcomes-driven roadmap.

What you’ll do

  • Hire, develop, and manage 1-2+ full-stack squads (backend, data/analytics, UI). Establish clear ownership and healthy on-call for your services.
  • Co-create the roadmap with PMs (Fraud, Insights, Partner Integrations). Translate outcomes into quarterly plans, backlogs, and measurable milestones.
  • Drive Scrum (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews/retros), capacity planning, dependency management, and predictable releases.
  • Define SLIs/SLOs relevant to customer experience (e.g., fraud precision/recall & false-positive rate, insight accuracy/freshness, partner parity & webhook success). Enforce feature flags, regression suites, and change control.
  • Track ICRs/partner API changes; ensure parity updates, schema compatibility, and customer-safe rollouts with clear comms.
  • Work with DS/Analytics to ship explainable insights, guardrails, and A/B tests; measure adoption and incremental impact.
  • Coordinate closely with Product, Design, DS/Analytics, Support/Partner Ops, and the Platform/Infra teams (as consumers, not owners).
  • Provide crisp updates on roadmap, incidents, and rollouts to customers and internal stakeholders.

What you bring

  • 8+ years in software engineering; 3+ years managing multiple feature teams or a product engineering group.
  • Track record shipping customer-facing features end-to-end with measurable impact.
  • Experience in some of: Java/Kotlin, API design (REST),experimentation (A/B), hive/Druid/Iceberg and analytics/BI integration.
  • Strong people leadership: high-velocity hiring, coaching seniors to leads, performance management, goal setting.
  • Excellence in delivery and quality: backlog hygiene, definition of ready/done, release trains, observability for your services.
