Senior Rust Engineer (Solana/DeFi)
Location: Remote (CET +/- 4 hours) Type: Full-time
Compensation: $72K – $90K
We are a stealth-stage DeFi Trading & Intelligence platform dedicated to the Solana ecosystem. We are building the critical infrastructure required for sophisticated on-chain decision-making—ranging from real-time signals and smart money tracking to enterprise-grade fraud detection. Our platform delivers high-fidelity on-chain analytics through a high-performance API. We are a small, fast-moving team tackling the most challenging problems in blockchain data. As a Senior Rust Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting systems that process millions of Solana transactions in real-time.
This is an early-stage startup environment. We are looking for an engineer who thrives on high ownership, fast iteration cycles, and the opportunity to ship code that immediately impacts production environments. Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Design and build high-throughput Solana transaction indexing systems.
- Data Pipelines: Develop real-time analytics pipelines and continuous aggregation engines.
- Intelligence Engines: Implement smart money detection, wallet tracking, and fraud detection algorithms.
- API Infrastructure: Maintain and scale our enterprise-grade gRPC and WebSocket API infrastructure.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure low-latency data processing by utilizing advanced async patterns and lock-free structures.
Requirements
- Rust Expertise: 4+ years of professional experience writing production-grade Rust.
- Solana Ecosystem: Expert-level understanding of Solana transactions, programs, RPC, and Geyser.
- Concurrency: Deep expertise in parallelism and concurrency (Tokio, Rayon, and async patterns).
- Database Management: Proficiency with PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, and ClickHouse.
- Messaging & Communication: Experience with RabbitMQ (or similar message queues), gRPC, and WebSockets.
- Architecture: Proven experience building and maintaining microservice architectures.
Bonus Points:
- Prior experience in trading systems or financial data.
- Experience with EVM-based chains (Ethereum).
- Familiarity with Carbon or other Solana-specific decoders.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
- A track record of building real-time streaming pipelines.
