Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative Junior Software Engineer to support the development and modernization of our ClaimSource applications. In this role, you will work with C#, modern databases, and container technologies to help enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to cloud-based initiatives using AWS and gain hands-on experience with microservices, Docker, and CI/CD workflows. This position is ideal for someone to stay informed about relevant technology trends, grow, and make a meaningful impact in a supportive engineering environment. You will report to the Director, Software Development.
Qualifications
- Experience developing applications with C# in a professional or academic environment.
- Working knowledge of MS SQL or Postgres, with the ability to troubleshoot and improve database performance.
- Familiarity with Docker or similar containerization technologies.
- Understanding of microservices concepts and modern software architecture practices.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and current deployment practices.
- Interest or experience in supporting cloud-based systems, ideally with AWS.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve software solutions using C#.
- Enhance existing applications by implementing new features and optimizing performance.
- Assist in converting legacy applications into containerized environments using Docker.
- Participate in transforming monolithic applications into microservices.
- Work with teams to ensure database performance and reliability using MS SQL or Postgres.
- Support cloud and deployment initiatives, including AWS services and containerized pipelines.
