It’s the place engineers and architects go for exclusive resources, guidance and tools. In the ATC, we provide Labs, Learning Paths, Cyber Range, Proof of Concepts, Lab Hosting Programs, and WWT Research. These offerings are meant for our Customers, Partners, and Internal Employees who need training and education on the latest and greatest solutions across all technology domains.

What will you be doing?

This role resides within the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) Solutions Development Security team. The Technical Solutions Architect II – Network Security serves as an architectural authority for modern cybersecurity solutions, responsible for evaluating, designing, and guiding security architectures that support WWT’s integrated lab environments, learning content, and customer engagements.

This role blends hands-on architecture design, strategic technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure architectural integrity across network security, Zero Trust frameworks, EDR/XDR, NGFW, cloud security, and SecOps (SIEM/SOAR) domains. The architect will partner closely with ATC engineers, domain architects, sales, services, and OEM partners (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Zscaler, CrowdStrike) to deliver scalable, real-world solutions aligned with enterprise security strategies.

This position is central to Security Architecture Enablement—ensuring security is intentionally designed and integrated across environments, focusing on how technologies connect to form secure, resilient, and scalable platforms across network, endpoint, cloud, and operations.

  • Zero Trust (ZTNA, SASE, identity-aware access)
  • EDR/XDR and endpoint protection
  • Cloud and hybrid security architectures
  • SIEM/SOAR and SecOps integrations
  • Define and maintain reference architectures, design standards, and best practices
  • Ensure solutions align with Zero Trust principles, scalability, and enterprise security frameworks
  • Translate business and operational requirements into secure, end-to-end architectures

ATC Content & Lab Development

  • Lead the design and technical direction of:
  • Hands-on labs
  • Learning paths
  • Cyber Range scenarios
  • Ensure technical accuracy, real-world applicability, and architectural integrity of all content
  • Integrate multi-vendor solutions into cohesive, scenario-driven lab environments
  • Drive innovation in challenge labs, attack/defense scenarios, and simulation-based learning

Technical Leadership & Governance

  • Provide architectural oversight and design reviews across security initiatives
  • Mentor engineers and junior architects on architecture, design thinking, and integration patterns
  • Establish governance around architecture consistency, integration standards, and reusable designs
  • Act as a subject matter expert across network security and Zero Trust domains

Pre-Sales, Solution Ownership & Customer Engagement

  • Support customer engagements including:
  • ATC tours and executive briefings
  • Solution demonstrations and workshops
  • Architecture whiteboarding sessions
  • Partner with Sales and Services to align solutions with customer business outcomes
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers on modern security architecture strategies
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business-relevant outcomes

Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration

  • Collaborate with OEM partners (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler, CrowdStrike)
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and integrate them into ATC offerings
