Key Skills

Product Analytics SQL Python A/B Testing Subscription Metrics Dashboarding Tableau B2C Healthtech Data-Driven Decision Making

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to apply for the Product Data Analyst position at MEDvidi. With over 3 years of experience in B2C product analytics, I have a strong track record of defining metrics frameworks, designing A/B tests, and driving data-informed decisions for subscription-based products. My proficiency in SQL and Python, combined with my product intuition, enables me to connect metric changes to user behavior and business context.

I am particularly drawn to MEDvidi's mission of modernizing mental healthcare. I have experience working with ambiguous data and cross-functional teams, and I am confident in my ability to strengthen your subscription model analytics and contribute to patient engagement improvements.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my skills align with your team's goals.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Can you describe a time you designed a metrics framework for a subscription product? What were the key metrics and how did you validate them?
I once worked on a SaaS product where we defined a North Star metric of 'weekly active subscribers' and supporting metrics like activation rate, retention rate, and churn. I validated them by analyzing historical data, conducting cohort analysis, and collaborating with product managers to ensure alignment with business goals.
How do you approach designing an A/B test for a subscription adoption flow? What metrics would you use as primary and guardrail?
I start by defining the hypothesis and success metrics, such as conversion rate from trial to paid as primary. Guardrail metrics might include revenue per user and support tickets to ensure no negative impact. I calculate sample size using MDE and consider statistical significance and practical significance.
Describe a situation where you had to work with incomplete or ambiguous data. How did you handle it?
In a previous role, data on user behavior was incomplete due to tracking issues. I collaborated with engineering to understand the gaps, used proxy metrics where possible, and clearly communicated the limitations to stakeholders. I also documented assumptions and validated findings through multiple data sources.
How do you connect metric changes to user behavior and business context? Can you give an example?
For a booking flow, a drop in conversion was initially attributed to UI issues. However, by analyzing funnel steps and user session replays, I found that users were abandoning due to a lack of insurance coverage options. This led to a product change that improved conversion.
What is your experience with building dashboards in Tableau? Can you describe a dashboard you built that helped drive product decisions?
I built a subscription health dashboard in Tableau that tracked activation, retention, churn, and LTV. It included filters for user segments and time periods. The dashboard helped the product team identify a drop in activation among mobile users, leading to a targeted improvement.

Description

At MEDvidi, we are building a modern mental healthcare platform in the US, helping patients access care faster and more affordably.

We are looking for a Product Data Analyst to join the Patient Journey team and help us make data-driven decisions across key user flows – from subscription adoption and booking/payment experience to retention and overall patient engagement within the platform.

During the first several months in the role, a key focus will be helping us strengthen the metrics framework around our subscription model: understanding how the current flow works, defining the right North Star and supporting metrics, identifying growth opportunities, designing A/B tests, and building dashboards that help the team monitor product performance and make better decisions.

This is a hands-on analytics role with a strong product focus. We are looking for someone who can work with ambiguity, challenge assumptions, connect data with user behavior, and explain why a certain metric, test design, or product decision makes sense.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Product Analyst / Data Analyst working closely with product teams.
  • Strong experience with B2C product analytics, ideally in subscription, marketplace, consumer app, booking, fintech, gaming, healthtech, edtech, or similar user-facing products.
  • Strong SQL skills, including ability to work with complex queries and understand existing data logic.
  • Strong Python skills for analytical work: Pandas/Jupyter, data investigation, validation, and structural analysis.
  • Experience designing or analyzing A/B tests, including primary metrics, guardrail metrics, trade-offs, MDE/sample size considerations, and interpretation of results.
  • Ability to define and challenge product metrics, not just report numbers.
  • Strong product intuition: ability to connect metric changes with user behavior, funnel logic, business context, and possible risks outside the immediate flow.
  • Experience working with incomplete data, ambiguous tasks, and non-perfect documentation.
  • Ability to independently investigate problems, generate hypotheses, validate them with data, and clearly explain the reasoning behind decisions.
  • Experience building dashboards in BI tools, preferably Tableau.
  • Fluent Russian; English level B2 or higher.
  • Ability to work CET-overlapping hours and readiness for B2B model.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with subscription products or subscription adoption/retention metrics.
  • Experience building a metrics framework or metrics pyramid from scratch.
  • Experience with patient journey, booking, payment, onboarding, acquisition, retention, or monetization flows.
  • Experience in startup / scale-up environments.
  • Experience challenging product decisions with data and influencing PMs or stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve the metrics framework for MEDvidi’s subscription model, including North Star and supporting metrics.
  • Analyze user behavior across acquisition, booking, payment, subscription, and appointment flows to identify growth opportunities and product risks.
  • Design, evaluate, and interpret A/B tests, including primary metrics, guardrails, trade-offs, and statistical limitations.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to support data-driven product decision-making.
  • Investigate ambiguous product problems, generate hypotheses, validate them through data, and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Build dashboards and monitoring systems that help teams track product performance and make informed decisions.
  • Work with existing SQL models and analytical logic, validate metric consistency, and improve analytical reliability.
  • Connect changes in product metrics with broader user behavior and business context, not only within a single funnel step.
  • Challenge assumptions and contribute analytical perspectives during product discussions and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to improve experimentation quality and product analytics maturity.

Why Join Us

  • Meaningful healthcare product helping patients across the US.
  • Fully remote, long-term B2B collaboration with compensation in USD.
  • Fast-moving startup environment with high ownership and minimal bureaucracy.
  • Product-driven culture with real influence on product and growth decisions.
  • Career development and growth opportunities.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration across Product, Design, Engineering, and Analytics.
  • Paid vacation, wellness days, and sick leave.
  • Sports & wellness compensation.
  • Personalized English lessons via Preply.
