Main Responsibilities:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-facing role whose main responsibilities are:

  • Scientific Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted scientific partner to Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare providers, conducting high-quality scientific exchanges to enhance understanding of Sanofi’s medical and scientific value.

  • Medical Insights Generation: Gather, record, and share insights from stakeholder interactions to strengthen Sanofi’s scientific messages, strategies, and product development.

  • Disease Area Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of therapeutic areas, disease management protocols, and competitive landscape to effectively communicate product value.

  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Regulatory, and other internal stakeholders to support medical strategy, compliance, and product positioning.

  • Evidence Generation Support: Identify data collection opportunities, support clinical trial site identification, and assist with investigator-sponsored studies (ISS) submissions.

  • Congress & Educational Activities: Represent Sanofi at scientific congresses, organize educational meetings, advisory boards, and support speaker training.

  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure full compliance with company, industry, legal, and regulatory requirements while maintaining excellence in all governance processes.

About You

Main Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a technical, scientific or medical field (MD, PhD, Pharm D,) preferred, or other Relevant Life Sciences Degree (RN/MS) with Healthcare Specialty required.

  • Previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

  • Clear understanding of medical practice, clinical decision making and healthcare systems related to patient care.

  • Ability to interpret key scientific data and translate this information to meet educational and research needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to address educational and research needs through delivery of cutting edge scientific/evidenced based data.

  • Understand the design and execution of research studies.

  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience in working on multi-disciplinary teams and managing significant volume of projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates effective leadership skills (by example and through accomplishments), steps forward to handle challenges within scope of authority.

  • Deep understanding and knowledge of local regulations and codes of practice for pharmaceutical industry, in particular as they apply to the non-promotional activities of this role.

  • Demonstrates scientific expertise – stays abreast of data, treatment trends, and new information in the profession and ability to articulate therapeutic knowledge and translate expert feedback into appropriate insights.
