Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the Physiotherapist position at HealthHero. With over 3 years of post-qualification experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, I am confident in my ability to deliver high-quality virtual assessments and treatment plans. My strong clinical reasoning skills enable me to effectively triage patients into self-management, virtual, or face-to-face pathways.

I hold current registration with CORU and the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, and I am proficient in using digital health platforms. I am particularly drawn to HealthHero's innovative approach to integrated care and its commitment to clinician support.

I am available for evening hours and eager to contribute to your team. Thank you for considering my application.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Describe your experience with remote or telephonic physiotherapy assessments. How do you ensure accurate diagnosis without hands-on examination?
In my previous role, I conducted virtual assessments using video calls and detailed patient history. I rely on thorough subjective questioning, observation of movement patterns, and patient-reported outcomes to form a clinical impression. I also use outcome measures like the Oswestry Disability Index to guide treatment.
How do you handle a patient with a complex musculoskeletal condition that does not improve with self-management advice?
I would reassess the patient, consider referral for face-to-face examination if needed, and explore other treatment options such as virtual exercise therapy or pain management strategies. I also collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary.
Can you give an example of a time you worked effectively within a multidisciplinary team?
I regularly collaborated with GPs and orthopaedic consultants to coordinate care for patients with chronic back pain. We held weekly case discussions to ensure aligned treatment plans, which improved patient outcomes and reduced unnecessary referrals.
How do you stay current with evidence-based practice in physiotherapy?
I subscribe to journals like the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy, attend webinars, and participate in online courses. I also apply clinical guidelines from NICE and the CSP to my practice.
This role requires flexibility for evening hours. How do you manage your work-life balance while accommodating this?
I plan my schedule to ensure I have dedicated time for rest and family. I find that remote work allows me to integrate evening shifts effectively, and I use time management techniques to maintain productivity and well-being.
