I am writing to express my strong interest in the Senior Financial Controller position at Grundfos. With over 6 years of experience in corporate finance and controlling, I have a proven track record of ensuring financial integrity and compliance across international entities. My expertise in IFRS and local GAAP, combined with proficiency in SAP, aligns well with the requirements of this role.

I also led tax compliance efforts and coordinated with external auditors, which I understand are key responsibilities for this position.

I am particularly drawn to Grundfos's commitment to sustainability and inclusive culture. I am eager to bring my skills in financial analysis and process improvement to your Finance Excellence team. Thank you for considering my application.

Can you describe your experience with month-end and year-end closing processes for international entities?
I have over 6 years of experience managing month-end and year-end closings for multiple entities in different countries. I ensure timely and accurate reporting under both IFRS and local GAAP, coordinating with local teams and shared services to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
How do you stay updated with changes in tax regulations in Ukraine and Kazakhstan?
I rely on external consultants and local tax experts to stay informed about regulatory changes. I also subscribe to tax update services and participate in webinars. I ensure compliance by regularly reviewing tax filings and adjusting processes as needed.
Describe a time you identified and implemented a process improvement in finance.
In my previous role, I noticed that the month-end closing process was delayed due to manual data entry. I proposed and led the implementation of an automated reconciliation tool, which reduced closing time by 20% and improved accuracy.
How do you handle competing deadlines during month-end and year-end closings?
I prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact, and I communicate clearly with stakeholders about timelines. I also delegate tasks to team members when possible and use project management tools to track progress.
Can you explain a complex IFRS standard you have applied in your work?
I have applied IFRS 16 (Leases) for a multinational company. I worked with the team to identify all lease contracts, calculate the right-of-use assets and lease liabilities, and ensure proper disclosure in financial statements.
