I am writing to express my strong interest in the Principal/Senior Product Manager, Local Market & Growth (Latin America) position at OKX. With over 6 years of product management experience in fintech and crypto, and a deep understanding of Latin American markets, I am excited about the opportunity to drive growth and optimize the user trading journey for the region.

My background includes leading product strategy for trading platforms where I identified local market opportunities, improved onboarding funnels, and launched features that increased user engagement. I have a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven product improvements that align with business goals.

I am particularly drawn to OKX's mission to reshape finance through crypto and its commitment to serving diverse user segments. I am confident that my experience in localizing trading experiences for LatAm users and my passion for crypto will enable me to make an immediate impact on your regional growth metrics.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how I can contribute to OKX's success in Latin America.

How would you identify and prioritize product opportunities specific to Latin American markets?
I would start by conducting market research including competitor analysis, user surveys, and studying local payment rails and regulatory landscapes. I’d engage with regional teams to understand user pain points and funnel data to identify high-impact areas. Prioritization would be based on potential to improve user conversion, retention, and revenue, balanced with technical feasibility and alignment with global product strategy.
Describe a time you optimized a user trading journey and what metrics you used to measure success.
At my previous role, I redesigned the onboarding flow for a crypto trading app, reducing time to first trade by 30%. I used metrics like activation rate, time to deposit, and first trade conversion. I also tracked retention of new users and NPS. Post-launch, we saw a 20% increase in 30-day retention and a 15% increase in average trading volume per user.
How would you balance global platform capabilities with local user needs in Latin America?
I would work with the global product team to understand platform constraints and planned features. Then, I’d prioritize localizations that have high user impact, such as integrating local payment methods, translating content, and adapting trading interfaces for local behaviors. I’d use A/B testing to validate changes and advocate for global features that benefit multiple regions.
What strategies would you use to serve both novice and advanced traders in LatAm?
For novice traders, I’d simplify the onboarding with educational content, guided trading, and a streamlined interface. For advanced traders, I’d provide advanced order types, charting tools, and API access. I’d also use personalization to adapt the experience based on user behavior and trading history, ensuring each segment feels catered to.
How would you measure the impact of your product initiatives and iterate?
I would define clear KPIs before launching (e.g., conversion rate, new user activation, trading frequency). After launch, I’d analyze data from A/B tests and user feedback, then iterate based on insights. I’d also set up dashboards to monitor metrics continuously and hold regular retrospective meetings with the team to refine the roadmap.
OKX will be prioritising applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require OKX’s sponsorship of a visa.

About The Opportunity

OKX is expanding its presence across Latin America, and we’re looking for a locally embedded Product Manager to drive market growth in the region. This role sits at the intersection of local market strategy and product execution — you’ll identify business and product opportunities unique to LatAm, shape how we localize the trading experience, and own the end-to-end user trading journey for the region.
This is not a “translate and ship” role. We need someone who deeply understands how LatAm users discover, onboard, trade, and grow — and who can turn that understanding into product decisions that move our regional metrics.

What You’ll Be Doing

Local Market Opportunity & Strategy
  • Identify and prioritize business and product opportunities specific to Latin American markets, including regional payment rails, local trading behaviors, regulatory nuances, and competitive gaps.
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of the LatAm crypto and fintech landscape — including key competitors, user segments, regulatory trends, and macro factors that influence trading adoption.
  • Develop go-to-market product strategies tailored to LatAm user segments (e.g., first-time crypto users, active retail traders, remittance-driven users).
  • Partner with regional BD, marketing, and operations teams to align product initiatives with local growth objectives.
User Trading Journey Ownership
  • Own and optimize the full user trading journey across APP and WEB — from discovery and onboarding (Markets, Chart analysis) through execution (Order placement, Chart trading, Position management) to post-trade review (Asset analysis, Trading journal).
  • Define and execute the product roadmap for trading experience improvements in the region, balancing global platform capabilities with local user needs.
  • Analyze user behavior, funnel data, and feedback specific to LatAm markets to identify pain points and high-impact opportunities for conversion, retention, and engagement.
  • Develop strategies to serve diverse user profiles — from advanced traders to speculative and novice traders — adapting the product to their distinct preferences and requirements.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Design, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to translate user insights into shipped product features and iterative improvements.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to optimize trading interface layout and usability, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience.
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure efficient feature implementation, maintaining a balance between innovation and operational feasibility.
  • Measure the impact of product initiatives through well-defined metrics, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and deliver measurable outcomes.

What We Look For In You

  • 5+ years of product management experience with a demonstrated track record in consumer-facing product, ideally in trading, fintech, or crypto.
  • Solid understanding of manual trading workflows across mobile and web — including the needs and behaviors of different trader personas.
  • Strong ability to translate user research and local market insights into actionable product roadmaps.
  • Excellent product sense, attention to detail, and a history of shipping products that users love.
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with data to prioritize, validate hypotheses, and measure outcomes.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership — able to align design, engineering, data, and commercial teams around a shared vision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Nice-To-Haves

  • Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese. Candidates who can engage with LatAm users and stakeholders in local languages will have a strong advantage, though this is not a strict requirement.
  • Direct experience in the Latin American market — understanding of local user behaviors, payment ecosystems, regulatory environments, and cultural nuances across the region.
  • Hands-on trading experience in FX, stocks, or crypto.
  • Familiarity with technical analysis tools and charting platforms.
  • Experience working in globally distributed teams with cross-regional collaboration.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package
  • L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees’ growth and development
  • Various team building programs and company events
  • Wellness and meal allowances
  • Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
  • More that we love to tell you along the process!
