I am excited to apply for the Senior Product Manager, Recurrence position at Natera. With over 5 years of product management experience in healthcare technology, I have a proven track record of driving patient engagement and simplifying complex workflows. My data-driven approach and cross-functional leadership align perfectly with Natera's mission to make personalized genetic testing standard of care. I am particularly drawn to the opportunity to improve outcomes for cancer patients through innovative digital experiences. I look forward to contributing to Natera's growth and patient impact.

Describe a time you used data to drive a product decision that improved patient outcomes.
In my previous role at a telehealth startup, I analyzed patient drop-off rates and identified that the onboarding process was too complex. By implementing a simplified flow and tracking metrics, we reduced drop-off by 25% and increased patient engagement.
How would you prioritize features for the provider portal when stakeholders have conflicting needs?
I would first align on key business and patient outcomes, then use a framework like RICE (reach, impact, confidence, effort) to objectively prioritize. I'd also gather user feedback and data to validate assumptions, and communicate trade-offs transparently to stakeholders.
How do you handle ambiguity when defining product requirements for a new feature?
I start by defining the problem statement and success metrics, then conduct user research and competitive analysis. I create prototypes to test assumptions and iterate quickly. I also break down the work into smaller experiments to reduce risk and learn fast.
Can you explain how you would improve the patient scheduling experience for longitudinal testing?
I would map the current patient journey, identify pain points like manual reminders or lack of clarity on next steps. I'd implement automated notifications and integrate with calendar systems to simplify scheduling. A/B testing would confirm improvements in adherence rates.
How do you stay updated on healthcare regulations and ensure compliance in your product decisions?
I collaborate closely with legal and compliance teams, and regularly attend industry webinars. I also incorporate compliance checks into the product development cycle, such as privacy impact assessments and audits, to ensure all features meet HIPAA and other relevant standards.

Position Summary

Natera’s mission is to make personalized genetic testing part of the standard of care — enabling earlier, more targeted interventions that lead to longer, healthier lives. For people who have faced cancer, that promise depends on continuity of care: our Signatera™ test is optimized for longitudinal monitoring, and its value grows each time a patient is tested over the course of their journey. Ongoing, serial testing is what allows clinicians to catch a recurrence early, often before it would appear on standard imaging.

Natera’s Oncology business unit is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the experiences that help patients and their care teams stay consistent with that monitoring over time. You’ll own how patients and providers stay engaged across the care journey, helping shape the digital experiences that make ongoing testing simple and intuitive for the clinicians who order it, the patients who rely on it, and the tools that help our clinical and commercial teams support them. This is an individual-contributor PM role: you’ll talk to users, dig into the data yourself, build prototypes, write proposals, define what success looks like, and drive initiatives from idea to launch.

About You

You care about improving outcomes for patients and clinicians. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, working across many teams, and making decisions with imperfect information. You’re data-fluent – you’d rather pull the numbers yourself than wait for a report. You give and receive candid feedback, take ownership of hard problems, and don’t wait to be told what to do. You think in systems, simplify what’s overcomplicated, and get things across the finish line.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive product strategy and roadmap for keeping patients engaged in their recommended testing over time — growing the number of patients who continue monitoring, and making that effortless for the providers who order it
  • Simplify the ordering and scheduling experience so providers and patients always know what the next step is and when it’s due, removing friction and manual work across the testing journey
  • Improve the provider and patient experiences that drive continued testing including our physician portal, EHR systems, and patient portal
  • Partner across commercial, operations, clinical, and engineering teams — including health-system and lab integrations — so our products reflect how care actually happens, and ground your decisions in data you regularly review
  • Own the product lifecycle from discovery to launch, define and measure success, champion your roadmap with senior and executive stakeholders, and advance the longer-term vision of clinically-informed testing recommendations that adapt to each patient’s situation

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in digital product management; previous experience in healthcare, biotech, or life sciences is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional initiatives from idea to launch across product, engineering, design, and business teams
  • Strong product and UX judgment — skilled at identifying high-impact improvements, prioritizing ruthlessly, and balancing short- and long-term goals
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code/Cursor, LLMs, agents, prototyping tools) and a mindset for using technology to accelerate product development
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Flexible and agile; willingness to tackle any type of challenge; highly motivated to roll up sleeves and get work done while also thinking strategically

Compensation & Total Rewards

This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base pay we reasonably expect to offer at the time of hire. Final compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

This position is also eligible for additional compensation and benefits through Natera’s robust Total Rewards program, including:

  • Annual performance incentive bonus

  • Long-term equity awards

  • Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision)

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Generous paid time off and company holidays

  • Additional wellness and work-life benefits

Compensation Range
$154,600—$188,300 USD
