Sample interview questions
How do you ensure students understand complex Agile concepts like velocity and story points?

I use real-world examples and interactive exercises, such as estimating tasks in a group setting, and provide analogies like planning a vacation to explain story points. I also encourage questions and offer office hours for additional support.

Can you describe a time you had to handle a difficult student or classroom situation?

In a previous course, a student was resistant to the Scrum framework. I scheduled a one-on-one meeting to understand their concerns, connected the concepts to their work experience, and provided extra resources. They eventually became an advocate for Agile.

How do you adapt your teaching style for different learning preferences?

I incorporate a mix of visual slides, hands-on activities, and group discussions. For kinesthetic learners, I use simulation games like the 'Scrum Simulation with LEGO' to reinforce concepts. I also provide supplementary materials for those who need more reading.

What is the most important principle of Agile that you emphasize to students?

I emphasize the value of iterative delivery and continuous improvement. I explain that Agile is about responding to change over following a plan, and I use examples like software updates to illustrate how small, frequent releases reduce risk.

How do you assess student progress and provide feedback?

I use the provided grading rubrics for assignments and provide written feedback within 48 hours. During live sessions, I ask frequent questions and use polls to gauge understanding. I also hold weekly office hours to address individual concerns.
